What is it?

mima working with Middlesbrough and Teesside Philanthropic Foundation are holding the Biggest Art Competition. A massive Forty One Thousand Pounds is up for grabs to support good causes locally.

Winners will have the opportunity to say where they want the prize funds to go to and charities are encouraged to get as many of their supporters to enter as possible. The funds will be awarded to charities, community groups or schools in Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland and
Stockton-on-Tees.

Who can enter?

Anyone of any age can enter regardless of where you live. You just need to be creative, imaginative and full of pride for Love Where You Live!

Remember all prize money is to be donated to a charity or good cause so you can really make a difference in your local area.

When is the closing date for entries?

Friday 8 February 2013 at 4pm. We are unable to accept entries received after this date.

Can I get my postcard back?
Unfortunately we are unable to return work.

Judging the work?
Work will be judged between Monday 25 February – Thursday 7 March 2013. Winners will be notified by Friday 8 March. The judges will be announced in January.

What happens if I win?
Winners will be informed by Friday 8 March 2013. You will be asked to attend a press call at mima (date /details TBC) to announce your winning charity and have your picture taken celebrating your masterpiece.

What charities and good causes will be able to benefit?
The funds will be awarded to charities, community groups or schools in Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees.

When will the works be on show?
Entries will be displayed in mima from Saturday 23 February – 28 April 2013.

Terms and conditions:
1. Your name, photo, work may be used in other related publicity and media.
2. The Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
3. We will not pass on your details to any third party without your prior consent.
4. Only work submitted on an official Love Where You Live postcard will be accepted.
5. Work will not be returned under any circumstances.
6. Work received after the closing date, 4pm, Friday 8 February 2012, will not be accepted.
7. Only one entry per person.
8. mima reserves the right not to display work which contains inappropriate content or which may bring the work of MFTP or mima/Middlesbrough Council into disrepute.
9. The chosen charity or community group of each winner will receive relevant winner's funds within 28 days.

10. The judging panel must formally approve the charity or community group as being suitable - approval may not be reasonably withheld
